What is the best way to answer an email enquiry?

If you want to really sell the car, respond to the question or email within 5 mins. Yes, you read correctly. This is how quickly most good car dealers will respond and don’t forget you are competing against them when selling your car. The quicker you respond, the quicker you can keep the buyer interested, and impressed with your service. The buyer might have enquired on 5 vehicles in the past half hour and if you take 3 hours to get back to them, you’ve given the other 4 sellers an advantage.

In your replies, now would be a great time to give them the walk around sales video you created before putting the car online.

If you haven’t created one yet, get the video camera or often now your mobile phone and walk outside and do a personal video for the potential buyer saying things like, “Hi Fred, thanks for your enquiry, I thought I’d give you a quick run down of the car and cover the questions you asked me in the email” (for more detail see the Video Guide in a previous chapter).
